Lenawee, Arapahoe Basin, CO | 9.89 mi, 1783 ft

After a day of sitting at a desk, we took a little spin up the dirt road to check out Pennsylvania Mine. The mine primarily ran between ~1879-1945 and produced gold, silver, lead, copper, and zinc. The mine continues to leave the water in Peru Creek orange.

We camped the night before our ride near Montezuma, right past Keystone, near the end of the Lenawee trail.

The following morning we met up with friends to drop a car and shuttle our way over to A-Basin, where we began the gorgeous switchbacked climb to the top of Lenawee chairlift.

I am grateful for friends and good chats. Lucky to be able to experience these views together!

On the way down, we had some bike brake failure and due to a lack of mineral oil (who carries that??), a friend performed a water-brake bleed. How silly!

With bikes in decent shape after the descent, we wanted a bit more and went to check out some of the new flow trails on the Frisco Peninsula. These trails rip and are well worth it for how short the climbs are!

Finished off the day with burritos in town. Cheers!
